The application of the scientific to the practical by way of learning through sharing; with the ultimate goal of better care & prevention of adolescent athletic injuries.
Was reading my latest issue of T&C magazine, specifically the article entitled, "Strong Foundation". This is the sentance that I read and am questioning. THe term was "functional isolation". Almost sounds like a G2 term? The exercise given as an example is the single leg bridge.
Does functional isolation exist? and if so is the SL bridge a good exmple?
The single leg bridge is popular in the "glute activation" community. I'm not a member. If you were working with an athlete with an ankle sprain who could not do full weight bearing it could be appropriate.
